Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
(Temporary Traffic Regulation) 2025
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Sections 14 (1) (b) and 14 (2) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, temporary traffic restrictions will be in operation between Thursday 24 July and Monday 28 July 2025 within the Parishes of Chowley and Broxton during Together Again Festival at Bolesworth Castle. The effect of which will be to prohibit and restrict traffic on the following lengths of roads:
To reduce speed from national speed limit to 40 MPH speed limit from 00:01hrs on Thursday 24 July until 16:00hrs on Monday 28 July on A534 Nantwich Road, Broxton, from a point 255 metres west of its junction with Bolesworth Hill Road for a distance of approximately 530 metres in an easterly direction.
To introduce a temporary one-way restriction on Bolesworth Hill Road, Broxton, from a point 1275 metres north of its junction with A534 Nantwich Road to its junction with Bolesworth Road an approximate distance of 1235 metres. Vehicles will only be permitted to proceed in the direction specified below:
- in a northerly direction from 00:01hrs on Thursday 24 July until 19:00hrs on Friday 25th July ; and
- in a southerly direction from 18:00hrs on Sunday 27 July until 16:00hrs on Monday 28th July.
Temporary Prohibition of Right Turn – no person shall cause a vehicle to make a right hand turn on the following lengths of roads:
- from Bolesworth Road, Broxton into Bolesworth Hill Road, Broxton from 00:01hrs on Thursday 24 July until 19:00hrs on Friday 25 July;
- from A534 Nantwich Road, Broxton into Bolesworth Hill Road, Broxton from 09:00hrs until 19:00hrs on Thursday 24 July and Friday 25 July; and
- from Old Coach Road, Broxton into A41 Whitchurch Road, Chowley from 09:00hrs on Friday 25 July until 16:00hrs on Monday 28 July.
Temporary Prohibition of Left Turn – no person shall cause a vehicle to make a left hand turn from Bolesworth Road, Broxton into Bolesworth Hill Road, Broxton from 00:01hrs on Thursday 24 July until 19:00hrs on Friday 25th July.
Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.
Pedestrian access to premises situated on or adjacent to the roads will be maintained at all times.
